Riley had worked hard to overcome her past with her abusive ex-boyfriend Parker. Ready to take a chance again she attends a party with her friend never realizing she was about to meet the man that would change her life. Zander sees Riley across the room and instantly knows he wants to get to know her better. After rejecting Zander and his pickup lines Riley feels bad and goes back to apologize but sees him with another girl. His best friend Beth. Thinking he is a player Riley moves on and begins dating Grant. Grant is opposite of everything that Riley is normally attracted to. Realizing that she is never going to have feelings for Grant she agrees to attend one last dinner with him and his family but just as friends. At the dinner, Riley is surprised to discover that Grant and Zander are rival brothers. Riley acknowledges her feelings for Zander and they begin dating. Everything is great until Zander’s friendship with Beth begins to interfere. Can Riley and Zander build their relationship or is there more than friendship between Zander and Beth? I really enjoyed this story and look forward to the next book in this series. I liked that Riley was a strong woman that spoke her mind and even though she loved Zander she always stood up for herself and her needs. My review is provided for Sexy Ways Of Reading.
She never thought they would only be driven further apart by his withdrawn and distant behavior.
Carson had always had his freedom, and for a moment, he thought he could still live that life.
Only Kate needs more. She can no longer pretend that what he’s willing to offer is enough.
By the time Carson finally realizes that Kate deserves a better life than he’s been giving her, it may be too late.
He may have finally pushed her away to the point of no return…

Kate has nothing left to give. She was eight months pregnant and her relationship with Carson was going nowhere. Carson wanted to be carefree and stay out all hours of the night drinking with friends while Kate stayed home. Not anymore. She calls her best friend Riley, Carson’s sister, and moves in with her. Carson is surprised when he comes home to find her things gone. This was the wakeup call that Carson needed. Now he has to make a plan to get her back before it is too late because he realizes that he cannot live without her or their baby. Riley and Zander make plans for their future and we get to see more about the relationship between Max, Carson’s brother and Bree and we are introduced to Kate’s friend, Lily and her attraction to Tanner. This has the makings of a great series and the characters are so intertwined but yet separate enough to tell their stories. I cannot wait to see more from this series and this author.
